Longtime Raleigh music spot torn down

RALEIGH

For more than 28 years, the club has hosted names like Sheryl Crow, The Georgia Satellites, and Black Flag. Dozens of lesser-known groups have played there too.

But the club's owners leased the space at 3009 Hillsborough, and the building - and two others nearby - have come down to make way for a new mixed use development near the campus of NC State that will be anchored by a Kerr Drug store.
