Authorities in Fayetteville arrested a man Thursday not long after he robbed a local bank.

Police said around 4 p.m., they received a call about a robbery at the Carter Bank and Trust on Country Club Drive.

According to witnesses at the scene, a man walked into the bank with a gun and demanded money. They said he then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money in a black Nissan.

A short time later, authorities spotted the car near the intersection of Grove Street and Eastern Boulevard.

After a short chase, police arrested and charged 47-year-old Terry G. Dunn with common law robbery.

Dunn has since been released from the Cumberland County Detention Center after posting a $10,000 bond.
