Robbers hit two Fayetteville banks

Police say robbers hit two Fayetteville banks within minutes Monday, and they believe the same suspects are likely behind both.

The first holdup happened just before 11:14 a.m. at the First South Bank at 241 Green Street. The second robbery happened around 11:47 a.m. at the First South Bank at 705 Executive Place.

In both robberies, two men walked into the bank, handed a clerk a note, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both men were black males wearing hats. One is between 5'5" and 5'7" tall and the second is between 5'7" to 5'9".

Police said one suspect has a teardrop tattoo under his eye.
