Fort Bragg soldier shot wife and killed himself

RAEFORD, N.C.

Deputies went to a call in the 100 block of Patolly Place, off Fayetteville Road. Once inside, the deputies discovered two bodies, both dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators believe 24-year-old Staff Sgt. Seth Andrews shot his wife, Hillary Morgan-Andrews, and then shot himself.

Military officials said Andrews was an infantryman with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. He had just returned from a one-year deployment from Iraq in late November. He also served in Afghanistan.

The sheriff's office said further investigation is pending.
