Crime alert in Cumberland County

Authorities are warning residents in Cumberland and surrounding counties about a recent telephone scam.

Officials said victims reported that con artists claim they are owned money, and then threaten to have the victim arrested by Cumberland County Sheriff Earl "Moose" Butler if payment is not received.

Further details about the scam have not been released.
