Authorities have arrested a man after he allegedly shot another man during a domestic dispute.

On April 18 around 9:30 p.m., authorities were called to the 5000 block of Southmill Drive in the Kings Mills Subdivision about a dispute.

When police officers arrived, they found 28-year-old James Alexander who had been shot and the 46-year-old shooter, Thomas Kevin Cogburn, still at the scene.

Cogburn was arrested Monday after being released from the hospital and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with the intent to kill, as well as discharging a firearm in the city.

Cogburn is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
