Police: Shooting victim not cooperating

Raleigh police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting that injured a man.

It happened just after midnight outside a house on Bloodworth Street in the downtown area.

According to witnesses, the victim was shot after being jumped by five suspects during a robbery. Police have not confirmed that.

Investigators identified the wounded man as 35-year-old Derrick Marquette Wilson.  He was taken to WakeMed.

Police said Wilson was not cooperating with the investigation, making it difficult to find the gunman.

His injuries were not life-threatening.
