The two-alarm fire started just before 8 p.m. Monday at Ashwyck Commons Court in Fuquay-Varina.
Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs and Fairview fire departments were called to the scene to battle the flames.
All eight units in the complex were destroyed in the blaze. They were all also occupied by tenets; however some were not home at the time of the fire.
One woman was placed on a stretcher as a precaution. Dispatchers tell Eyewitness News that no injuries were reported.
Investigators say they will spend much of the day Tuesday trying to figure out what started the fire.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced families.
