Unidentified male found shot in Fayetteville subdivision

FAYETTEVILLE

The victim is a black male in what authories say, appears to be his 20's and has several distinguishing tattoos.

The victim has tattooed on his left pectoral or chest area the names "James + Candice", located on the victim right upper arm is a tattoo of the name "Phyllis", and a final tattoo on the left upper arm of a cross with another name tattooed above it but it is unable to read at this time.

The victim was also in possession of a black beaded necklace and cross, similar to a set of Rosary Beads.

The victim was located in on Cliffdale Road and the entrance to the Hollywood Heights Subdivision early Sunday morning.

Authorities he was found with a gunshot to the head and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and then to UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center were he died.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit of the Fayetteville Police Department are attempting to gain information as to the identity of the suspect as well as any information as to how the victim came to be located at the scene and what happened to him.
