Jonathan Jeffcoat turned himself into authorities just hours after a SWAT team searched a Raleigh hotel overnight.

Several agencies swarmed a motel room at the Super 8 on South Saunders Street hoping to find Jonathan Michael Jeffcoat, 31. Authorities considered him armed and dangerous.

Despite the intense search, with several agencies and dogs, police did not find Jeffcoat.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office says Jeffcoat was wanted on two counts of possessing a firearm, stealing a vehicle, outstanding domestic violence order, communicating threats and larceny.

Jeffcoat later turned himself into authorities around 10:30 a.m. Monday.
