A thief broke into a Cary home and snatched Lulu from a crate in her owner's house more than a week ago.
Andrea Sexton printed more than 100 posters, but a week into Lulu's loss, Sexton started losing hope.
That's when she received a tip. A girl bought Lulu at a gas station 22 miles away for $50.
The girl's sister thought the puppy looked familiar.
"It's still kind of a shock," Sexton said. "I got one phone call, and it led me right to the dog. And that's a good thing. I'm surprised, but I'm very happy about this. We finally had a happy ending."
Police have not made any arrests in the theft.
