The long awaited U.S. 70 Bypass, located in Wake and Johnston counties, is scheduled to open in July. It will allow drivers to avoid the traffic in and around Clayton.
U.S. 70 is a major road to our state's beaches.
Construction was expected to be finished next year but two mild winters and a dry summer changed those plans.
