The accident occured near the driveway area of Flowserve's parking lot around 5 p.m.
The pedestrian, a male in his early sixties, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wake Med hospital. His name has been redacted from the attached report as efforts continue to locate and notify next of kin.
Traffic was delayed on S. Saunders Street, but is back to normal.
