The ceremony includes a 21-gun salute to honor the men and women who have died in military service. The wreath traditionally is placed at the base air park, a display of aircraft, by the base commander and the lowest-ranking airman.
Base officials said the ceremony is being held Wednesday because most personnel have Monday off. It's been the practice since 1981.
