On August 1, police began an investigation into an alleged rape that occurred on July 31.
The victim, who is 12, says he was forced to have sex with an 18-year-old on the evening of July 31. Based on his statements, Cassandra Cone was identified as a suspect.
Information from that interview provided enough information to obtain warrants for first-degree statutory rape.
Cone is in jail under a $40,000 bond.
