Eyewitnesses say the teen was drag racing in a cemetery off of Old Stage Road.
When a deputy tried to stop him, authorities said he rammed her car, hit another and then took off running through the Eagle Ridge Golf Course community.
Eyewitness Christina Chamra, who was waiting for her brother at a bus stop, said she flagged down a police car and asked what was happening. They told her someone was escaping.
Authorities used reverse 911 and say neighbors were able to lead them to Schumpelt in a wooded area beyond the golf course.
