The incident happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Farrison-Newton Communications Building.
Two suspects armed with a revolver approached the students from behind and robbed them of their tennis shoes. The suspects then fled on foot down Street toward Concord Street.
The students said the two suspects followed them down Fayetteville Street before robbing them.
