Over the weekend, two different traffic accidents in Durham left one man dead and two others hospitalized. Troopers say 26-year-old Stefan Jeglinski was killed Sunday morning when his car ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

The crash happened at the intersection of Craig and Umstead Roads.

An unidentified passenger in the car sustained minor injuries. Troopers are still investigating.

Police are reasoning details in what caused another serious accident in Durham Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say a driver was speeding when he went around a sharp curve on Orange Factory Road near Iron Gate. He then lost control and hit an SUV head-on.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Troopers are still investigating that accident as well.
