Robert Stanley bought his four children a snow making machine for Christmas. He hooked it up Monday night and made snow to cover part of his yard.
His children and a dozen of their neighbors spent the morning sledding and throwing snowballs.
"[I]Just got it last night," Stanley said. "We had a little debug period -- about an hour screwing around with knobs and stuff and all of sudden it started kicking out snow. This is the product of about 7 and-a-half hours of snow blowing last night."
Stanley said he bought the machine because he wanted to give his children a white Christmas. Since Monday night offered the perfect snowmaking conditions, he decided to turn it on early.
