FAYETTEVILLE Cumberland County Sheriff's detectives have issued warrants to arrest Muncie Grimes, who is confined to a local rest home, for the death of another resident there.

The 60-year-old will be charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of 69-year-old Levi Montgomery.

Investigators say the two men were involved in an argument shortly after 3:00 p.m. Saturday when it turned violent. Grimes and Montgomery were residents of Countryside Villa Rest Home on Dunn Road in Fayetteville.

Montgomery's body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Grimes was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of minor wounds he sustained during the altercation. Grimes will be officially charged when he released from the hospital. Grimes will be processed in the Cumberland County Detention Center.
