Wake County teacher asst. arrested on sex charges

ZEBULON Travis Montague, 21, of Wendell is charged with taking indecent liberties with a child. He was booked into the Wake County jail.

Zebulon Police Chief Timothy Hayworth said the arrest stems from from two separate incidents where contact occurred between Montague and a 14-year-old girl on the campus of Zebulon Middle School.

It happened between March 23 and the Week of March 30.

Investigators did not release more details.

Wake County school officials said Montague resigned from his position on Friday.
