Car hits four-wheeler, kills four

BOLTON, N.C. Troopers told a local newspaper that a car appeared to be speeding down a Columbus County road when it swerved to try to miss the four-wheeler going the same direction.

But authorities say the car struck the four-wheeler, then slammed into a concrete mailbox post and driveway wall, landing upside down in a ditch.

Investigators say all three men in the car were killed, 22-year-old Jeremy Freeman and passengers 24-year-old Channing Freeman and 25-year-old Matthew Freeman. The four-wheeler driver, 21-year-old Wilbert Daniels, was also killed.
