Baby death considered suspicious

RALEIGH According to search warrants filed in the case, the child died at a home in the 4000 block of Crowfield Drive on May 5.

The warrants say the parents told investigators the baby went to sleep at 8:30 the night of the fourth, and they discovered it deceased the morning of the fifth.

Unexplained marks were discovered on the infants back and lower extremities.

The warrants say detectives removed baby clothing, bedding and other items from the home. No charges have been filed in the case.
