According to Johnston County dispatch 18-year-old Roy Bryant was killed in the accident.
Investigators say the Garner high school student took a turn too fast, lost control and hit another car head-on. That driver was also hurt.
Officials are currently investigating and are not releasing any other details at this time.
Bryant was scheduled to graduate later this month.
