Camp Lejeune Marine killed in Iraq

CAMP LEJEUNE The Department of Defense reports 22-year-old Lance Cpl Robert D. Ulmer of Landisville, Pennsylvania died Friday as a result of a non-hostile incident in Anbar Province, Iraq.

Details surrounding the incident are not being released at this time.

Ulmer was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune N.C.

The incident is under investigation.
