Eno River remains are of a male

Durham police are still trying to determine the identity of human remains found Sunday in the Eno River State Park.Wednesday police told Eyewitness News the remains appear to belong to a male. However, investigators are waiting for dental records to confirm the identity.

Police began reviewing missing persons' reports Monday in hopes of making a connection.

The cause of death has not been determined. Investigators have not said how long the remains had been in the park.

Someone found the remains Sunday while walking and flagged down an officer.
