Firefighter faces sex charge

ALAMANCE COUNTY The sheriff said his Computer Crimes and Forensics Unit arrested 40-year-old Allen Eugene Ivey after an online undercover investigation that began in May of this year.

Investigators say Ivey, a volunteer fireman with North Side Fire Department in Richmond County, thought he was talking with a child when he was actually talking with an undercover officer.

He was booked into the Alamance County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
