Soldier arrested for pharmacy robbery

LILLINGTON Authorities said two men came into McPhail's Pharmacy on West Front Street around 6 p.m. carrying pistols. Both had on ball caps and sunglasses to hide their identity.

In store surveillance video, one of the men went behind the pharmacy counter and ordered a pharmacist to put prescription narcotics into a bag he was holding. The second robber did not appear in the tape.

On Tuesday, police charged Joseph Parker McClees with the robbery. The other suspect remains at large.

McClees is being held in the Cumberland County jail on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. He also faces kidnapping charges in an unrelated case.
