Man tries to dodge DWI checkpoint

RALEIGH Police said 20-year-old Dominique Dotson was one of seven wanted people they apprehended at a checkpoint on Barwell and Poole roads in Raleigh.

Authorities charged Dotson with assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon and eluding arrest.

He's also being held on several outstanding warrants.

Officials were also able to arrest six people for DWI at the checkpoint.
