Man hit, killed by train

CARY It happened around 7 a.m. near East Chatham Street and Trinity Road.

Police said the man was walking on the tracks when he was struck.

The Amtrak train was headed from Raleigh to Charlotte. No one onboard was hurt.

Authorities said the case is under investigation as a possible suicide.
