Suspicious package at high school harmless

DURHAM The school's front office was evacuated as a precaution, but the rest of the school remained in session - while under lockdown.

Michael Yarborough of Durham County Public Schools told Eyewitness News the object turned out to be a harmless empty suitcase.

The suitcase was removed and the school returned to normal by mid-morning.
