FAYETTEVILLE --
Fayetteville police arrested two suspects in connection with the first-degree murder of Kenneth Underwood.The victim was shot and killed on Sept. 17 in the 700 block of Wilma Street.Police say a state trooper took 20-year-old Genesis Lee Whitted into custody Monday evening during a traffic stop off of Old Wilmington Road. He is charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
Officials also arrested 27-year-old Rico Lee Miles, who was wanted for questioning in Underwood's death.
A probation and a parole officer arrested him Monday and charged him with violating his parole in an unrelated incident. He is being held without bond.
