Authorities said Randall Joyner asked his grandmother for money, but she refused. That's when he wrestled her purse away from her breaking her arm.
Police said he also struck her several times in the face.
Police found Joyner Saturday and charged him with robbery and assault inflicting serious injury. He is being held in Nash County jail under a $20,000 bond. His grandmother has since been treated and released from the hospital.
