Wreck in Raleigh pulls down wires

RALEIGH Cars and small trucks were being directed through the intersection but utility crews had to temporarily halt traffic for short periods for repairs.

Tall vehicles - such as 18-wheelers - could not pass through a portion of Wake Forest Road near the intersection, and those vehicles were being detoured near the scene.

All motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible to reduce congestion and minimize delays.
