House fire breaks out at Duplex in Durham

DURHAM

Bull City Firefighters responded to the fire at around 7 a.m. Sunday. When crews arrived the home was engulfed with flames and smoke.

Once crews were able to get the fire under control, they found the two people inside. No word yet on the extent of their injuries.

Fire officials tell ABC11 Eyewitness News that the side of the duplex where the two people were rescued was destroyed and is now unlivable.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
