The NC Labor Department and ConAgra Foods say they've reached a settlement over safety concerns following an explosion at the company's Garner Slim Jim factory last year.

ConAgra was cited in December after safety and health inspections at the facility. Now, it's agreed to pay a total fine of $106,440. It will also make certain to its safety and health program - a number of which were already instituted by the company.

The June explosion at the plant killed four people. Investigators said a contractor installing a natural gas fired water heater vented gas inside the building - triggering the explosion.
