Suspects in ATM knife robbery captured

FAYETTEVILLE

They say William Charles Dorff, II, 49, was identified in surveillance video released to media outlets earlier this week.

His two alleged accomplices, 46-year-old Kirby Anthony Dorff and 31-year-old Jennifer Ann Smith are accused of waiting in a getaway car. The three live on Gilbert McLaurin Road in Fayetteville.

The holdup happened on Saturday, January 23 at the Cash Point ATM on Dunn Road in Eastover. The victim told investigators she withdrew 40 dollars shortly after 6:00 p.m. The suspect approached her, threatened her at knifepoint to hand over the money and sped off in a white, Toyota Camry.

Dorff is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.
