Officers say the altercation began at 9:50 a.m. on a bus at Southern Wayne High School. During the incident, deputies say Ancila Smith was cut on the face with a weapon. She received 28 stitches.
Deputies arrested Kierra Mitchelle Minor and charged her with one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She is out of jail on a $500 bond.
