Authorities say the toddler was playing on a sofa when he fell through the screen of a second floor window. The boy fell 14 feet and hit a concrete pavement patio below.
He had facial lacerations, but was conscious. The child was taken to the Pediatric Unit at Wake Med Raleigh. Doctors say he suffered a frontal fracture.
Police say there appears to be no foul play and the child will be okay.
