Raleigh council gets head start on budget

RALEIGH The council is scheduled to conduct a pre-budget workshop Monday at the council chambers on West Hargett Street.

An in-depth fiscal profile will be presented to council members.

The council members will use the information to develop the city's budget for the coming fiscal year, which begins July 1st.

City Manager Russell Allen will give his budget proposals to the council at its meeting on Thursday.
