The woman - who ABC11 is not naming because of the nature of the allegations - says her attacker was 22-year-old Ronald Rhodes. Rhodes is a registered sex offender who was charged with kidnapping a 12-year-old when he was just 16.
Now, an 18-year-old woman claims in court documents that she met Rhodes on Facebook. They began dating and even took a trip to Virginia together. Then, she says an invitation to dinner at Rhodes' home in Garner ended in rape.
She says she was forced to have sex and that Rhodes threatened to "erase" her if she didn't.
Rhodes allegedly took photos and recorded the sex on video - then promised to destroy the material only if the victim agreed to have sex again. Rhodes also demanded money.
Rhodes is in jail on a $500,000 bond charged with kidnapping, second-degree forcible rape and extortion. ABC11 spoke with his mother who said her son is innocent and she's hired an attorney.
