According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, William Otis Bryant, Jr. aka "Jabo" was arrested without incident at his parents' home in Apex Thursday.
Prison officials say they released Bryant on April 2 instead of turning him over to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
Bryant is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Originally, he was arrested in February in connection with a decade-old cold murder case.
