Two lanes of I-40 eastbound closed

RALEIGH The two left lanes between Harrison Ave. and Wade Ave. will remain shut down until Monday morning.

The lanes are closed so crews can safely continue work on the freeway widening project.

Officials ask that people avoid the area if at all possible, or plan for extra travel time.
