The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is trying to generate new interest in a missing persons' case.

Today authorities will launch a yard sign project for Kent Jacobs. Members of the Jacobs family and volunteers will start posting the yard signs in their community.

Kent Jacobs is mentally challenged and was last seen at his mother's home in Hope Mills on March 10, 2002.

Last year his family declared him legally deceased, but they continue to hold out hope that he may be alive.
