Police say 18-year-old Randall Scott Flood of Etheridge Road, Battleboro attempted to jump into the water from a rope swing when he slipped and hit his head.
Flood fell into the water and never resurfaced.
Divers recovered the body just before 6 p.m. Sunday in about 25 feet of water.
