In a letter to a member of the NC State Board of Trustees her attorneys say NC State distorted the truth surrounding her grievance.
They also claim NC State wouldn't allow access to documentation about their decision.
Easley filed a grievance to clear her name after getting fired last June.
NC State says her job was eliminated, because of budget cuts. However, her hiring has become part of a federal grand jury investigation of her husband the former governor Mike Easley.
