Sgt. Chad Calloway said Jasper Godwin went into a woman's home through an unlocked front door and attacked her July 4.
Detectives have warrants charging Godwin with first-degree rape and first-degree burglary.
Anyone with information on Godwin's whereabouts is asked to call the Goldsboro Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (919) 735-2255.
