Raleigh police make more arrests in apartment death

Raleigh police have charged four people in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Monday.

It happened at the Tressels Apartment complex on Red Clay Drive, which is off of Capital Blvd. and Millbrook Rd.

Officers arrived at the scene just after midnight in response to an assault call. Police say 28-year-old Pier Munoz-Chinos, also known as Tito Hernandez-Garcia,was taken to WakeMed. He died from his injuries.

Monday police charged 18-year-old Wedjunald Gemeille of Smoky Topaz with first-degree murder. He's being held without bond.

Police released the names of three additional suspects Tuesday who also face murder charges in connection with the shooting. They are: 16-year-old Jimel Jamal Jackson, 23-year-old Jerry Jerome Williams, III , and 28-year-old Carlos Noe Esperanza.
