Police received a call about shots fired around 1:30 a.m. Aysha Rodgers, who lives in the neighborhood, said she heard gunfire and screams.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found one victim who had been shot. The victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries to his leg.
Captain Jacques Gilbert told ABC11 Eyewitness News the victim told officers another man shot him. The victim was taken to WakeMed, but his condition and name are not known.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and neighbors should not be frightened because there is no immediate danger to the public.
Police have not filed any charges or made any arrests.
