Firefighters battle Raleigh house fire, heat

RALEIGH Crews were called to 1030 Ivy Lane just after 7:00pm.

Upon arriving on scene, firefighters noticed heavy smoke showing from eaves on all sides of a one-story home.

A second alarm was called to fight the fire due to the extreme heat, so firefighters could take breaks as they battled the flames.

All told - 50% of the structure was damaged, leaving the entire building uninhabitable.

Nobody was hurt, but a person, a dog, and a cat were displaced.
